The Mulsanne W.O. Edition by Mulliner
The Mulliner division will celebrate Bentley's 100th anniversary next year with the release of a Mulsanne special edition. It pays homage to the company's founder father, W.O. Bentley, and even contains an item from one of his own cars.
The special model, which can be ordered on either the long or regular wheelbase Mulsanne or Mulsanne Speed, was inspired by the 1930 8 Litre Bentley that W.O. was using as his personal vehicle. The influence of the car can be seen in the cabin. For example, a Mulliner illuminated bar cabinet comes with the display of a piece of the 8 Litre crankshaft that is displayed inside.
Other highlights include a chrome application running backwards along the side of the vehicle, with an air vent with a photoetched B shape that features W.O. his signature front grille designed on the 1930s-appropriate Onyx color of the limited edition, and an optional chrome application that runs around the lower spoilers, left and right. The front grille is unique, featuring chrome mesh instead of the usual body-color mesh like that of the regular Mulsanne and including the Flying B logo as well.
A key box engraved with the Bentley wings can hold two keys, and comes with a black flock lining. keys are individually sized to complement or stand out from the key box. The set is commemorative and includes an exact 1:18 scale model as well a flying "B" paperweight. It also includes a booklet printed with never-before seen images of the original Bentley 8 Litre.
The Bentley Wing Key Box

"We wanted the knurling to look as elegant and consistent as possible," says Van Braekel. It was crucial to keep the dimensions and shape of the fob uniform.
Bentley Mulliner customers are able to choose any color from the Bentley portfolio, in addition to any combination of veneers or hides and custom embroidery. Bentley's signature diamond in diamond quilting is applied to the entire cabin with almost 400k stitches. The lighting for mood can also be adjusted to suit different moods.
Outside illuminated treadplates and brushed silver clocks are available as standard, and new 22in wheels are self-levelling Bentley logos. Customers can also request a bespoke Bentley logo laser-etched onto the rear fixing to pay homage to the 1930 8 Litre W.O. Edition that was the inspiration for the car.
